Armada - 2018 ARV 116 JJ

Availability: Sold Out

The third generation of the cult-classic JJ has arrived by way of the Armada ARV 116 JJ Skis! How do you improve on what's already one of the most prolific powder skis in the game? A culmination of feedback from the first 2 iterations of JJs has led Armada to move the contact point behind the ski's widest point in order to create more consistent turn initiation in deep snow. What's more, they've also implemented a new 3D base technology called Smear Tech that delivers the smoothest, most surf-like experience yet. Whether you're looking for dedicated pow sticks or you're bringing a freestyle approach to bigger, natural terrain, the revamped Armada ARV 116 JJ Skis will undoubtedly bring some mad, mad steeze to your snow sliding endeavors!

AR Freestyle Rocker – Rockered tips and tails are combined with positive camber underfoot to allow the ski to charge with ease through unpredictable snow and maintain a solid carve when asked to do so. Turn the whole mountain into your playground.

Flex Pattern (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) – Tip: 6 | Waist: 7 | Tail: 6.5

Pop-Lite Core – Lightweight wood is combined with a higher density, stiffer species in a horizontal laminate to create an impossibly lively ski that has all the power needed for boosting to new elevations.

Carbon Kevlar Struts – Carbon and Kevlar stringers used in the tip and/or tail to add pop and extend life.

AR50 Sidewalls – Cap construction in the tip and tail, and sidewall underfoot, balancing performance characteristics with lower swing-weight and increased durability.

S7 Base – Durable and low maintenance, with a speed additive for quickness.

Smear Tech – A 3D beveled base creates stability and float while sliding forwards, backwards, left or right.

1.7mm Impact Edge – Light, strong, and heat-treated for durability.

We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.

Kunstadt Sports had started in 1988 in the basement of the Kunstadt home in Kanata. After five years of serving customers in our family home and developing our customer base, we signed our first lease in Kanata at 462 Hazeldean Road in 1993.  Soon, the business expanded and we had been able to purchase the Kanata property.  In 1999, we acquired our second location at 1583 Bank Street. Our latest expansion took place in the summer of 2009, when we opened a store in the Glebe in an historic building which housed the popular Olympic Ski & Tennis Shop for over four decades.  We look forward to carrying on the tradition of selling sports equipment for many decades to come at our three Ottawa locations.
