Tegsnässkidan's RAJD touring skis with birch sole and hickory edge are durable quality wooden skis with very good snow properties. The skis with a width of 70 mm or 75 mm are very suitable as touring and forest skis as the superior riding characteristics make it possible to get out even in the deepest snow. It is the ultimate ski for long trips on the mountain or in unpaved terrain. If you want to combine both hunting and touring skiing, the slightly narrower 70-75 mm skis are preferable.

The hard but steel-free edges cut well on the slopes but also protect an accompanying dog from possible injuries.

For best results, tar your skis in the spring and let them dry in the sun.

Your height and weight are both important factors when selecting the correct nordic ski for you. To find the best ski you should begin by determining the height of the ski you should be skiing on. With this information, you will have multiple skis to choose from. Using the chart below, you should choose the ski that best suits your weight at the correct height. 

Ideal Height

Classic Skis:  The ideal classic ski will be 10-30 cm above the skier's height.

Skate Skis: An ideal skate ski can range from equivalent height to the skier to 15 cm taller.

Why you may want a ski on the short side for your height:

• You are a newer, less experienced skier
• You want to be able to easily maneuver your skis and turn quickly

Why you might want a ski to be on the long side for your height:

• You are a more advanced skier
• You want your skis to be faster and do not need extra maneuverability

Race Skis

Junior Skis

Many of the same rules apply to junior skis as they do adult skis. The main difference when sizing junior skis is that they are going to be shorter than adult skis, when compared to the skier.

Classic Skis: Between 5-20 cm taller than the skier.

Skate Skis: Between 10 cm shorter than the skier and 10 cm taller.
