Carbon composite downhill ski pole. An uncompromising carbon alpine ski pole where we have focused on optimal balance, pendulum, fracture strength, weight and stiffness. The pole is three times stiffer than the equivalent pole in aluminum. This contributes to a more instantaneous and explosive starting phase. To avoid cuts in the carbon fibres, we recommend transporting the ski poles separately from skis or in a separate ski pole bag– Swix NNT13. Specifications: -Downhill pole based on IPM technology (Internal Pressure Moulding) -Wrist bend to ensure optimal aerodynamics -Elliptical cross-section minimizes air drag -Downhill racing handle and basket -3 times stiffer than downhill poles in aluminum -Secures a much more explosive start -Gold-medal performance -Diameters: Handle 13.3 mm, ferrule 10 mm

I started skiing last year and jumped into these this season by recommendation from Kundstadt. They are absolutely wonderful to steer, not as rigid as the expert ones, and they give me excellent control, short stopping and turning capabilities, while letting me go as fast as I want. I tried other models renting and so far these are the best. I'm smiling in the picture.
I'd toppled over this morning and, well into my ride, realized I'd knocked my front brake cable out of its housing. I brought it into the Bank and Heron location and met Eric. He mended the brake, then went on to clean my very dirty chain, adjusted my rear brake and gear mechanisms and sold me some chain cleaning fluid - all in good humour and in short order. Most precise high performance boot I have ever skied. For a plug boot it is surprisingly comfortable. Body movements are transferred to the skis with precision and quickness.
This is probably the most comfortable ski boot that I have ever tried on! The design is superb!! I wish that I had tried the Fischer boot long ago. Better late than never!!
However, I need to try one size smaller to clarify that this is the boot that I can keep.
Good retention, transmission and responsiveness on a number of different snow conditions. Still a little difficult to get out of at the end of the day but does not freeze up with changing temperatures and wet 'powder' conditions.
