Nordic Ski Size Guide/ Info
Your height and weight are both important factors when selecting the correct nordic ski for you. To find the best ski you should begin by determining the height of the ski you should be skiing on. With this information, you will have multiple skis to choose from. Using the chart below, you should choose the ski that best suits your weight at the correct height.
Ideal Height
Classic Skis: The ideal classic ski will be 10-30 cm above the skier's height.
Skate Skis: An ideal skate ski can range from equivalent height to the skier to 15 cm taller.
Why you may want a ski on the short side for your height:
- You are a newer, less experienced skier
- You want to be able to easily maneuver your skis and turn quickly
Why you might want a ski to be on the long side for your height:
- You are a more advanced skier
- You want your skis to be faster and do not need extra maneuverability

Junior Skis
Many of the same rules apply to junior skis as they do adult skis. The main difference when sizing junior skis is that they are going to be shorter than adult skis, when compared to the skier.
Classic Skis: Between 5-20 cm taller than the skier.
Skate Skis: Between 10 cm shorter than the skier and 10 cm taller.
Description
Description
The Sprint Crown Mounted is the ideal choice for young cross-country beginners. With this ski, neither kids nor parents need to worry about weather or wax: just step in and go. The good-natured all-rounder forgives mistakes, quickly builds confidence on the track and makes learning to ski easy in a wide range of conditions.
The Crown Tec kick zone provides a secure kick: the sharp-edged step pattern in the base completely replaces grip wax, saving lots of time and effort – the ski grips reliably even while the little ones are still working on their technique. The Air Channel core keeps the ski nice and light at around 980 g (150 cm), and the Sintec base with Ultra Tuning glides willingly. The child-friendly Tour Step-In binding comes pre-mounted – kids can step in and out by themselves.
