Newer and less aggressive women skiers used to have to suck it up and deal with multiple compromises when buying an entry-level boot, but no more. The Atomic Hawx Prime 85 BOA W Ski Boots sport an appealing and user-friendly 85 flex, quality Mimic Silver heat moldable liner, and Atomic's proven Memory Fit heat moldable shells. What's more, the lower BOA® Fit System closure is just as good as the one on many if not most expert level boots these days. Start off on the right foot with the Hawx Prime 85 BOA, you won't regret it.
- Last: 100 mm: Designed for average width feet with average and slightly taller insteps.
- Adaptive Fit Cuff System: These boots come with a special spoiler in the back of the cuff. If you want a classic, cozy fit around the calf you can just leave the spoiler in. If you want more volume you can take the spoiler out. This makes the boot cuff slightly lower at the back, more tuliped and more open (equivalent to one cuff size larger). It's quick, easy and you don't need tools.
- Energy Backbone: Reinforced along the lines of force at the rear of the cuff
- Memory Fit: Advanced heat-fitting technology creates a fully personalized shell, cuff and liner in minutes. The key is Memolink, Atomic's special additive that improves the moldability and stretch of their plastics. Expansion can be up to 6mm forefoot width and up to 10mm ankle width, resulting in a permanent and complete anatomical fit in minutes. See your bootfitter for details.

I’ve only skied on them twice, last Friday under very hard groomed conditions and then this Monday under progressively softening conditions, the skis performed very well both days !

I'd toppled over this morning and, well into my ride, realized I'd knocked my front brake cable out of its housing. I brought it into the Bank and Heron location and met Eric. He mended the brake, then went on to clean my very dirty chain, adjusted my rear brake and gear mechanisms and sold me some chain cleaning fluid - all in good humour and in short order.
